FUN-FILLED DAY AT THE SINGAPORE FLYER
Thirty ComfortDelGro Engineering (CDGE) volunteers and residents from the Singapore Cheshire Home were treated to a fun-filled day at the Singapore Flyer on 14 December 2013.
In the morning, volunteers were given a crash course on how to handle a wheelchair. They then mingled with some 15 residents before leaving for the Singapore Flyer.
At the Singapore Flyer, the residents not only enjoyed the 45-minute ride on eight capsules, they were later treated to a sumptuous buffet lunch at O’Leary Sports Bar and Grill. To entertain the residents while they dine, ComfortDelGro Engineering engaged the Singapore Association for the Visually Handicapped belt out evergreen songs. After lunch, our staff even accompanied the residents on a shopping spree.
One resident said: "We would like to thank all CDGE staff volunteers for for organising this fun-filled outing for us. We have greatly enjoyed the day.”
